We bought our daughter some summer dresses when we went to the store last weekend so when we came home she wants to try them on but I told her that we need to wash them first. She said "Okay, let's toss them in the washer" but I told her that we have to wash it by hand so I can teach her how to do it like the way we do it in the Philippines.
She had fun but she said at the end "It was a little hard" lol. Then we hanged it by their swing set outside. The combination of wind and sunshine dry the clothes fast.

Looks she's enjoying helping mum or making a mess. Remember, laundry like that smells so good? I msd the summer so I can hang my clothes & all stuffs.
Happy SS to all.

Fun shadow shots for the day! Nothing like a little shopping trip! She's so lovely, Rose! Have a great weekend!

So many things need to be washed separately before wearing. To wash by hand is showing the care fore the beautiful fabric, so it may look nice for a long time. Your daughter is learning as you did, a generational activity that she will show her children someday...
Awww hard work, but the reward is the fresh clean smell of laundry off the clothes line...and of course a perfect shadow shot. ;)
hahhaha...ang cute naman ni rylie.. perti nga inahan..heheh
good day sis!
Your little girl is absolutely precious! Nothing like the smell of handwashed clothes hanging on the line!
Ahh a perfect sunny day for drying and shadows!
I hand wash my delicates rather than send them to the cleaners. I know it is hard, it gets piled up so easy.
Rylie is such a smart kid!
Great shots. She is enjoying the experience.
When we lived in Southern France. My mother used to do that. Even in Paris we never own a dryer.
Very nice and sweet post :)
Thank you for your visit.

My children also like doing or playing in the laundry. Though we use the washing machine, we soak the clothes first in the bath tub for a while, so I just let them help and have a little fun.
It's a nice idea to teach your little girl about the washing. That way kids can appreciate all that their parents do for them! A lovely set of photos!
That's the way we all have learned to wash our clothes?!
When I was a kid we washed all our clothes by hand in our summer house but it was fun and the laundry smelled so gooooood!
SSS greetings from Casa!

Who needs a machine
to wash a dress? Hands work fine

That is nice Rose, you teach Rylie to hand wash. She is really cute doing it :)
it's good to let your child do a hands-on experience on inevitable things to come like washing clothes...
very nice blog!!!and neat too ^_^
Thanks for the homey post. God bless you all always.
woaaaaa....saludo talaga ako sau sis....galing mo mag turo.....at very responsible nadin ni rye....:)
musta na pala yung tummy mo...ala na fororot....lol!
nako ako din sis pag iinom ako ng gatas...my tummy get upset...d kasi ako sanay mag drink ng milk...milo lang....lol!
Adorable!!! And I love the shadows of the swingset and beautiful dresses.
but nga dito gripo, nong bata ako ako pa nagbobomba sa poso, wahhh!
it's good that they know where we came from Rose, they would appreciate all the comfort that they have in their lives now..
