Progress in Home Schooling

Our little one is on her countdown about her going to school. She is very excited and can't wait till the class opening. We will be enrolling her on the 19th of this month and classes will begin on the 23rd. Oh how time flies, my little girls is now a school girl wahhhh.

Anyhow, I want to update you guys with our home schooling. We started with our session last month and with just two weeks straight, she made a huge progress on writing, counting and reading the numbers, and now she can read some words/sentences.

One thing that I learned for kids to easily learn how to read is to ask them what they want to talk about. In our case, Rylie picked God and animals.

She wrote all the stuff on the board and she easily reads them. Not only that you are teaching them how to read but also teaching them to spell words.
This is how she looks when she can't remember the word lol. That's a frustrated look lol.
I know that there are so many younger kids who can read better than her but I am still proud of how fast Rylie learns. For the month of July, we only had three weeks with our lesson but she did really well.

Below is the video of her reading the things that she wrote on the board. I have a longer video that I recorded but for the love of me, I couldn't find it in my archives lol..

Yesterday, we bought her a first grader book instead of a kindergarten book because most of the stuff that was in kindergarten was already tackled by my and her. Rylie is so addicted in learning that she would immediately asked me to start our lesson the moment she wakes up in the morning. That's one of the main reason why I am always absent in the bloghopping lol.
Thanks folks for coming by. I am now signing off as it is 1:25 am already.

Rylie is inherently smart and she has a yearning for knowledge. You will not have problem encouraging her to study her lessons and excel in class when her class opens. She will grow up to be an intelligent and versatile person knowing so many arts and crafts. Thanks for the homey post. God bless you all always.

Wow, nag-home schooling ka na pala Rose? That is one tedious job. Glad to know you're one of the home schooling moms. I like to have that on George too.
