Giving love on Christmas is the theme or topic for this week at Mommy Moments. In relation to this I want to share the project that my daughter had participated in school. The kindergarten has an advent project called the "Gabriel Project." heir teacher asked them to bring in some diapers and infant clothes. So we bought a pack of diaper and a pack of baby clothes for Rylie to bring it in school. The intention of the project is to teach the kindergarten students to share gifts to others.
On the other note, every year, the kids get two sets of gifts from us.. One set is from "Santa" and one set is from us. My husband is never kuripot when it comes to buying gifts, let alone for the kids. I don't approved of his budget but I let him buy what the kids wants anyway. It only happen once so let it be. although I still think that it would be practical to just save the money for their college. e always have gifts when he was growing up so that is why he wants the ids to grow up the same. Mine on the other hand is a different story so that's why, my opinion is different.
Here are my burritos posing for Santa
The girl burrito ants a kitchen set and the boy wants stinky. Hubby bought them online the other night online. It was delivered yesterday already.

Even preschoolers can learn how to make a difference in the world. Choose a project you can work on together, such as sending clothing and food to a U.S. family in need through The Box Project (boxproject.org).

Hi Bading, it's not that I am depriving them of gifts, for me simple gifts are enough. I don't believe in expensive ones. For me it's the thoughts that counts but since we live here, iba nga ang perception nila sa gift giving hehehe
My how your kids have grown up Rose since your days in Korea. Just a little more time and they will become dalagita at binatilyo na. How time flies. There will come a time when you will be left with just John at your side so it is best that you bond with your kids while there is still time and they are still attached to you. A time will come when they will have their own friends to cling to. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
ay ako din, simple gift lang gusto ko, save save ako for the future..hehe
ka gwafa jud ni Rye oi and pogingkoy naman si EJ hehe
It's good that schools encourage kids to share what they have with others. They did the same in Justin's school last November 26. We have to donate old clothes and toys for the poor children that Justin's school are helping annually. I'm sure your kids love their Daddy so much, especially that he doesn't scrimp on gifts for them. LOL! But you're right. We need to save during the hard times, but since it's Christmas, we're excused to shower our kids with gifts.
some schools here do encourage kids to do the same thing, reaching out to less fortunate kids.
i've been absent for a while...what a way to open ur site, seeing cutie pics of ur little prince and princess.
