The school had a Santa's Secret Shop event held last Tuesday. This activity aimed to teach the kids how to shop for non-expensive gifts. We gave our daughter $20 to shop for something that she can give for her brother and Pap.
There is a Christmas tree at the end of the displayed items. Each student has to hang their names at the tree to indicate that they are done shopping.
The male burrito made sure to tell Ate what he wanted. So atte grabbed the monster cars that he wanted hehehe.
When we came home, EJ begged us to open up his gift as he wants to play with his car lol. We told him that he is not suppose to open it until Christmas but then he know what it was so we gave one to him.
That was a nice experience for the kids. Parents are welcome to go there to assist their kids, so we went and helped Rylie.

I remember doing this with my children many, many years ago. I think it's an awesome program. Nice to see that they are still doing it in the schools.
I love that concept. It teaches children the value of money and how to buy gifts that are not expensive but with full of the best intentions. What is funny is how EJ made sure ate knows what he wants as a Christmas gift from her. Mautak na bata. Very pratical like her mommy, hehehe, lol. Thanks for the lovable post. Christmas Shopping at school is such a sweet idea. My favorite was a military school on base in Germany - the kids in the shop class and home ec class made all kids of things and then sold them - the money went towards more materials and maybe a little into their own pockets- it was fun to shop for stuff for my mom and dad that year!!!
Giving is promoted here - we as parents really enjoy giving to the kids. That they learn and love to give is wonderful!
