If giving up a career is what it takes to become a good MoM, you can consider me as one. I gave up my permanent job in the Philippines and chose not to work when I came here because I want to be able to spend full time with my children while they still need me. Soon, they will have their own world and my husband I will return to being just US again.
It is music to my ear and heart whenever hubby tells me "Thank you for making me babies hon, for being a great mom, and for loving me as I am." Naks, kakatunaw ng puso. Happy Mother's day to all the Moms!

I agree sis. It is when our kids are still little that they need more of our attention than when they are grown ups. Still not done with tasks yet but will join this contest too.
I don't consider myself a good mom...waaaaaa...terror mom ako eh...lol!
being a mom is also a career and it is the best job ever!

I think we both are somewhat the same when it comes to being a SAHM :) I had to set aside my Nursing dream to be a full time Mom and wife..My husband and I agreed on one thing: we are not going to entrust our kids to other people while they are this young and at a crucial stage in their development - their growing years when parents are needed the most to be there to teach and guide them..Siguro, by the time na medyo nakakaintindi na sila, I'll go back to the other thing I love the most - being a Nurse :) in the mean time, paraket-raket nalang muna ako online para naman kumita kahit papanu, kahit konti lang habang nasa bahay..

Whenever your hubby compliments you for being a great mom and thanking you for being the mother of his children, that would be enough to compensate your sacrifices for staying at home to care for your kids. Rodney tells me the same, kaya kahit pagod sa kakabantay ng mga bata at sa pag work dito sa house, oks lang..
those are the words that you just want to hear from a hubby :D
