Lessons at Home Progress

I am so happy with the progress that  my son is making  with our simple LESSONS at home.  I am no expert in home schooling but I am trying to incorporate fun stuff to it.  With our 10 weeks session, my son can now distinguished each letter in the alphabet and can write his name very well.  To me that's a big progress already.  He is not very fond of our math lessons but  I am slowly  introducing  him to it through using his toys as  tools/props in counting.
Involving the whole family in LEARNING is fun.  Our daughter is very much willing to help his brother LEARN things when she is off from school.
See how serious he is?  Way to go Mr. Burrito, "teacher Mommy" (that's how he calls me when we have class) am very proud of you!
Daddy also helps and  very much involves in some areas of our lessons.  He actually requested for Daddy to help him.  I guess he needs some male influence with his  learning.
Aside from  using his toys in our  sessions, we also have snacks and playtime during break times.
My daughter has two days off this week so  she insisted to do the teaching.
LESSONS and LEARNING are my  contribution for ABC Wednesday.

Looks like you're doing a great job with home school. It is great to make learning fun. I'm a mom but when my daughter was growing up there's no way I could have done home schooling. Trying to enrich after school was all I could handle.

Like Rog I found helping with the homework tried my patience - home learning must require the patience of a Saint. Well done - keep up the good work.

A beautiful learning environment. I home schooled my youngest starting in high school. She was having problems and I felt I had to take her out of public school. I did the right thing. She now has a bachelor's/master's degrees in theater.

Hello.
I think it's great what you & the rest of the family are doing. Takes a special kind of person with lots of patience & understanding to teach children at home.

Nice photos too.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for sharing & for visiting.

@Susie, I only do informal teaching to my son to prep him up for next year's kindergarten class. He did not want to go to pre-school this year so we did not force him to instead I teach him basic stuff that he needs to learn so he will be ready for kindergarten.

@Thanks everyone for the visit and comments!

You are a fantastic family. You do all things together including teaching EJ his home lessons. That is the reason why you succeed in everything you do because it is always a labor of love for the whole family. May you all stay that way until the kids are all grown up and have families of their own. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
