We got tired of exploring the Kiddieland at Kennywood so we tried the Olde Kennywood Railroad attraction. It is a relaxing trip along the top of the bluff overlooking the Monongahela River. Not only that I enjoyed the relaxing train ride but most especially, I enjoyed the view. Amusement parks certainly brings the youth feeling in YOU!
As the train moves along, there is a history being played and pictures are displayed for the riders to see the different scenes depicting Western Pennsylvania history. According to their information, the engines, although different in style and color, were first used in the 1939 World's Fair. I think it's spectacular that the amusement park has been around for 114 YEARS already.
We definitely want to go back to Kennywood in the coming years.
