My husband is also a veteran, a retired Navy. He served for 20 years in the Navy where he toured mostly Asian countries as well. I wonder if my son would be interested in joining the service when he grow up? I am curious.
The photo above was taken last year's 4th of July celebration when my brother-in-law Dave (in the photo) was still alive. Four months after the photo was taken, he died from cancer.
The kids got my FIL this cute award to honor him for the services that he had done and for being such a great grandpa for them.

ay, may something in common pala tayo sis... my hubby used to be in the navy too... he served for 21 years before retiring... :-)
That is so sweet of you, mommy! I definitely salute those who served knowing that their job is not that easy! My husband still in service and maybe there's still more years for him to be in it. But, good to know you're husband were retired already. It's hard to be away from them you know due to deployment.
Good tribute for V week.
awww! well he looked younger than his age though. That's one thing about me not liking about marrying man in uniform because i'm scared the fact that he won't be with me all the time. anyway i love your daughter's outfit :D
And a huge thank you to the 2 veteran's in your family. Please give them my utmost thanks and to tell them, "Welcome home!"
I wish for your son to stay away from playing soldier now ! Most of the wars where the poor men were sent to fight were so useless and have no sense at all. Look at Irak ! Your husband was very lucky that he survived in 20 years !
Hi Rose, unfortunately I can not English so well to read everything on your blog, many have a small translation program on the blog, because you could translate everything, so I know but often do not know what it is, a shame, but your pictures are good
Greetings to you
