As a parent, one of your main concerns at all times is whether or not your children are happy on the whole. It can be surprisingly hard to keep track of whether they are happy, and even harder to know what to do when they are not, but it is something that you need to try and get used to if you want to be the best possible parents you can be. Something that can affect their happiness greatly is the nature of the home, as this is where they spend their time, and as such the atmosphere within it makes a huge difference to how they feel at all times. If you are keen to make sure they are happy, then you might want to take a look at the following pieces of advice.
Working On The Atmosphere
Building a positive and loving home atmosphere is no small task, but it is also essential if you genuinely care about your children and want them to be happy. So if you want to make sure that your children are as happy as possible, you will need to work on ensuring that your home atmosphere is as loving and caring and happy as possible. The only way to really do this is to make sure that you are acting in that way when you are at home - although of course nobody can feel this way literally all the time, you can make an effort to cultivate it as much as possible. If you improve the atmosphere within the home, you can be sure of happier children at all times. This will then create a virtuous cycle which can help greatly in the future.
Moving Home
Sometimes the home itself is not conducive to keeping children or yourself as happy as possible. This can be for any number of reasons, and sometimes it is very hard indeed to make it work. If you find that your home simply does not do anything to keep your children happy, then you might want to think about the simple but necessary step of moving home. This can be a powerful way to make sure that your children are getting much more of what they need from the home, and it is something that all families have to go through at some point or another. Of course, there are many great movers to choose from, and you will want to make sure that you do so if you are keen to make it as stress-free as possible. But as long as you do that, you will find this can really help your children be happier.
Other Aspects Of Life
For children who are at school, or otherwise engaged in the days, you have to remember that the home itself is not the only thing to think about. It might well be that there are many other things affecting how happy or not they are, so you need to make sure you are not putting too much on us on the home itself.

I hope my kids are happy at home. There's really no reason why they shouldn't be. We've moved many times since my husband is in the military, but they seem fine. I think changes help kids grow and mature.
When my kids were growing up, I always tried to make our home a cozy, happy place. Kids need a safe and loving home.
I think kids can be happy anywhere as long as the family is together. Consistence, love, and understand go a long way.
I agree with Sarah on this one. We just moved to a new home and there are days my kids think the move was the best thing ever and then there are days when they wish we could go back to the old house. They are the happiest when we are all together..we don't have to be doing anything fancy but as long as we are all together we are at our best.
I love this post! I think kids are happiest when they're with their families (at least I think they should be). We homeschool, but we travel a lot and I think our guys are pretty happy as long as we're together <3
I know my daughter is happy at home. We homeschool, and if she weren't happy, I'm sure she'd voice her opinion.
We laugh and joke in our home more than putting out any negativity so all of us love being at home with each other.
It's important that kids get a well rounded experience at home. Giving them multiple outlets for creativity, physical exercise and mental exercise is a great way to start.
I can't imagine what it must be like as a parent when your child isn't happy in one way or another, especially when it is at home.
You are so right. I have a teenager and I work harder now to make sure my kids are happy and healthy.
My kids definitely love being home. They do go to school during the day but on weekends and after school, they seem content. We try to always give them ways to express themselves and keep them active physically, mentally and creatively.
I think we all want our kids to be happy, and it's hard sometimes to guarantee that. I think we can aim for most of the time them being happy. The hardest part is when you have step kids that are only there a small amount of time, and the other parent isn't making them feel like they should be happy at your home. We're trying really hard now to still make them feel happy and comfortable.
Mine love being at the house. I try to make it a nice haven for them.
I hope my kids are happy at home! That is my life's work!
As they say your home is your sanctuary and imagine for a child if that wasn't, these are definitely good tips to consider
When I was a kid I loved my home! I hope that when I have kids one day I can make my home a happy place they will love too!
Isn't this all we parents ever want? For our kids to be happy? Every thing we do is for our family and their happiness. If we don't give them this basic need (happiness), they may look for that somewhere else.
