My daughter's volleyball season has been long gone but I am still yet to post these photos I have captured during their first game. She can't wait for the next season to start, she definitely love the sport, just like I did when I was in school. Volleyball and Tennis are the two sports she like playing.
During their first game, they were defeated but it's okay. They did not have much practice prior to the game so it was expected. Another factor is that, the SJS team is now merged to another private school so they were still trying to figure out to work together as a team. They were blessed with a very motivating coach so that was a plus.I am so happy when I go to other schools and see flag display. Not all schools proudly displays the flag anymore these days, which is sad.
My daughter wishes that she is a bit taller but my husband always tell her the quote that Mark Twain have said "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."
We told her that she just need to keep practicing and to try to be stronger so when she serves, it would always get over the net. Most of the times, she gets the job done but when it doesn't work, she gets frustrated and get so hard on herself.
I told my daughter not to worry about being little. I told her that nobody will miss not to see you because you are the littlest one among the bunch lol.
We are planning to let her attend a volleyball summer camp this year to help strengthen and improved her skills.I like the uniform that they have this season, they are comfortable.
She's very happy when volleyball season starts because she get to see and play with her close friends.
She plan to play volleyball in High School, hopefully she qualifies. I think that with proper training, she can improved her serves and hit and be able to make it into the team. We keep telling our kids that anything is possible as long as they put the work into it. As John C. Maxwell said "Dreams Don't Work Unless You Do"

I haven't been in a school that didn't have a flag displayed, but that is REALLY sad that some don't. Sounds like your daughter found her niche with volleyball.
If it is a sport she enjoys playing she should get out there and play and enjoy herself. Team work will come as the girls get use to each other.
I'm always happy when I see a flag displayed!
I'm glad she enjoyed volleyball. Sports are always a good way for kids to learn teamwork! I'm not sure if my daughter will play one or not in middle school next year.
It is really sad to see a school not display their countries flag. I use to watch a lot of volleyball when I was younger. Looks like your daughter is having a blast
She looks like she loves volleyball. Love the quote that you used at the beginning of the post "dreams don't work unless you do." that's so true and such a great reminder.
I tell my kiddos this all the time. Anything that they dream they want to do they can do with a little bit of hard work. It is always worth it when you work hard for it.
SO cool that your daughter loves volleyball! Great words of encouragement!
I like how you continue to encourage her no matter what! Still, she looks like she's having a blast with her teammates.
My oldest loves volleyball too! I love the idea of being on a team and learning to work together to accomplish something.
I never really got into much sports ... it is super cool that your daughter loves volleyball!
That's great that your daughter has a sport she enjoys. Volleyball is such a wonderful sport, and she looks like she's having a great time.
That's great our daughter is enjoying a new sport. I have never seen a public school that didn't have an American flag.
Sports are wonderful for kids. It teaches them that in life, there's always going to be somebody better but that doesn't mean you can't rise to the challenge because harder work makes you rival those who challenge you!
So I was on my high school volleyball team. Keep inspiring your daughter that though she may be small in height it doesn't matter. As long as she is enjoying the sport it doesn't matter how tall she is. Spud Webb was small in stature and he became one of the greatest basketball players ever.
I used to play Volleyball.. I wasn't good at it but it was a pretty fun sport. Looks like your daughter is enjoying the sport!
How wonderful she found something that she loves- and it doesn't need electronics!!! She'll find so many benefits from the sport, from being part of a team, to knowing the power within her. Kudos to you and your husband for raising a follower of dreams. BB2U
I'm glad she found a sport that she likes. Sports really are so important for life lessons and I know what you mean about the flag.
This is so awesome that she has found a team sport that she loves. Best of luck to her!
